The problem
Most productivity apps reward you for listing tasks, not for finishing them. Twenty items roll over silently into tomorrow, and the app turns into a guilt list. We wanted to build something that enforced focus by design, made avoidance impossible to ignore, and earned a paid subscription on real behavioural value, not a feature ladder.
The constraint: it had to live on iOS, look at home next to native Apple apps, ship a freemium model that converted, and survive App Store Review.
What we built
- Vague tasks are rejected at entry
- A clarity check rewrites "sort the website" into something you can actually finish. A list you can lie to is not a list.
- Exactly three, no more
- The constraint is the product. Priority gets forced when you add the task, rather than negotiated at the end of the day.
- Forced Close Day, every evening
- Each task is completed, carried or dropped. Nothing rolls over silently, which is how a to-do list turns into a graveyard.
- Pro shows you what you avoid
- Which kinds of task, at what time of day, and which carry-overs quietly became permanent drops.
- Lock-screen widgets and Live Activities
- The three-task limit stays visible without opening the app, which is the only way a daily constraint survives a busy day.
