Most agencies won't show you pricing until you're on a call. We think that's backwards.

Six tiers, published. Every project scoped in detail before a single line of code is written, and every tier shows what an agency would quote for the same work.

Comparison ranges are taken from UK agency pricing guides published in 2026, for the same scope of work. They are guide ranges for the market, not a quote from any one firm. Timeframes are working weeks from the day the scope is signed off.

Why not just use off-the-shelf?

Often you should, and we will say so if a subscription already does the job. The case for building starts when you count what the subscriptions are costing, and notice you are renting rather than owning.

£32,000 a year

is what the average UK SME now spends on SaaS subscriptions, across ten to twenty tools. Five of the six tiers on this page cost less than a single year of it, and at the end you own what you paid for.

£10,000 a year

is what UK SMEs are estimated to waste on subscriptions nobody uses, with two in five carrying at least one redundant tool. That waste alone covers a Build in nine months.

8% to 25% a year

is how fast SaaS pricing has been rising. Rented software gets more expensive every year you keep it. A build is a one-off, and the source code is yours.

Figures from published UK SME software-spend research, 2026. Your own numbers will differ; these are averages, and the point is the order of magnitude rather than the decimal.

Why we come in under an agency

Not by cutting corners, and not by being junior. By not carrying the things you would otherwise be paying for.

No London postcode to pay for

Published guides put central London agency day rates 30% to 50% above equivalent regional firms, and London agencies 25% to 40% more expensive overall, for prime real estate, London weighting and the expectation of in-person client servicing. We are in Essex and the work is the same.

No account layer between you and the person building it

An agency bills strategy, design, delivery and account management as separate people, and only 60% to 70% of their team’s time is billable at all. The rest is carried in your price. Here, the person who scopes your project is the person who writes it.

Nobody is funding a 50% gross margin

Agencies target 50% to 60% gross margin to cover that overhead. We are not structured to need it, which is the entire reason the numbers above can sit below the market and still be sustainable.

You own it, so there is nothing to keep paying for

Full source code, deployed to your own accounts, no licence and no platform fee. The saving is not only the build: it is not renting the thing afterwards.

Common questions

How long does a typical project take?

A brand website takes 2-4 weeks. A custom business tool takes 4-8 weeks. A full SaaS platform takes 8-16 weeks. We give you a firm timeline before we start.

What happens after launch?

We don't disappear after delivery. Every project includes a handover with documentation. For ongoing work, we offer monthly retainers starting at £1,500/mo.

Do I own the code?

You receive the custom source code, deployment under your accounts and handover documentation. You can choose who maintains it. Third-party services and open-source components keep their own licences and terms.

Can you work with our existing systems?

Absolutely. We integrate with Notion, Google Sheets, Stripe, Xero, Slack, HubSpot, and most APIs. If your system has an API, we can connect to it.

What if I need changes after delivery?

Minor tweaks within the revision rounds are included. For larger changes, we'll scope and quote transparently. Retainer clients get priority access and discounted rates.

Is bespoke more expensive than off-the-shelf?

Bespoke has a build cost, so it needs a clear reason to exist. Compare the scope, hosting, maintenance and usage costs with the subscriptions and manual work it could replace. An existing product may be the better-value choice. Any expected return depends on your business and how the tool is used.

Why do you publish your pricing when others don’t?

Because we believe you should know what things cost before you invest your time. Most agencies hide pricing so they can tailor the number to what they think you’ll pay. We’d rather be upfront. Our published tiers reflect genuine project scopes. If your project falls neatly into a tier, you’ll know the cost in five minutes. If it’s more complex, we’ll scope it in detail and give you a fixed quote - still before any work begins. No surprises either way.

How does bespoke compare to using Zapier, Make.com, or similar automation platforms?

Automation platforms can be a good choice for connecting supported apps and handling repeated steps. Bespoke is worth considering when you need logic, controls or a user interface that the existing setup cannot reasonably support. We check reliability, access, usage charges and maintenance before choosing an approach; a focused integration may be enough.
