Appening Now is an Essex studio run by people who spent their careers delivering technology change in financial services and consulting. Now we build software for smaller businesses, and help them change the way their work runs.
We learned this work on the big programmes.
So you get a small studio that works to the standards of a large one.
Before Appening Now, we spent years in financial services and consulting, delivering technology change for organisations that work across many countries. The regulators watched closely and the deadlines did not move, so plans had to be real.
Some of us went on to sell that kind of work as professional services. Selling it teaches you to scope honestly, because a client who is promised too much stops believing the next promise.
Security was part of every project in those years. We still plan for it from the first conversation, even on a small build, and we keep each client’s data apart from everyone else’s.
We have worked with AI since its early releases. That is long enough to know where it earns its place and where it only adds risk, so it goes into your project only when we can say plainly what it does with your data and what it costs to run.
Not every answer is new software.
We also look at how the work actually moves through your business today: who retypes what, and where jobs sit waiting for someone. Then we tell you what we would change, in your team’s routine as much as in the software.
Sometimes the right move is to connect the apps you already pay for rather than replace them. That is what Apprism does. It sits over those tools and moves the work between them, and nothing changes a record until a person says so.

Backups every night
Databases and code are backed up nightly, encrypted, with a second copy held off site.
Monitoring that reads the page
Live sites are checked every few minutes for the content they should show, not just for a reply, and we are alerted when something changes.
Errors recorded
When something breaks in a live platform, the error is recorded, so a report of "it broke yesterday" has something to look at.
Each client kept separate
Where one platform serves several clients, every change is checked against an isolation test before it ships.
