01

The problem

A barbershop that has been a trusted name for thirty years, with a website that showed none of it. The design was dated and the experience online was nothing like the one customers get in the chair.

The bigger miss was the academy. They run professional barbering courses, and the section selling them was buried where nobody would find it.

02

What we built

An editorial site that looks the way the shop feels, with the academy given a section of its own rather than a link in a menu.

The academy became its own section
Course pages, their own photography and a clear route to enrol, so the training reads as a premium offer rather than a footnote to the barbering.
Booking reachable from every page
It used to be somewhere the customer had to go looking for.
The layout is built around the photography
Thirty years of reputation was being represented by a dated template. In this trade the pictures are what the premium is, so they set the grid.
Static output, nothing to maintain
No CMS to patch and no monthly platform fee. Enquiries land in a Google Sheet the shop already reads.

What it did

  • Live at mitchellsbarbers.co.uk
  • The academy has a standalone section with course pages and an enrolment route, where it was previously a buried link
  • Booking reachable from every page
  • Static output: no CMS to patch, no monthly platform cost
  • Responsive across mobile and desktop
The website finally looks as premium as the service we’ve spent 30 years building.
